Chelsea is a small town girl who comes from a strict religious background. Her young life is uneventful until she befriends a new neighbor and falls head over heels for her neighbors cousin Zaiden. Desperate to fight for her husband, Chelsea and his best friend Wallace take on a fight they never imagined. Chelsea soon realizes that loving a drug addict is no walk in the park. For the first time in her life, Chelsea starts to regret loving Zaiden. When she gets the attention of a man whom she never expected, the fire gets even hotter and they both get burned. Looking for a new beginning, she starts a job as a receptionist at a law firm. One of the top lawyers is instantly drawn to her and although she is still a married woman, he is determined to have her to himself. Zaiden seems to finally come to his senses and he returns home ready to come clean. Chelsea now decides to stay by her husband as he goes off to rehab. Will Zaiden return home a clean man and reclaim the throne he descended from? Is Zaiden really Chelsea’s one and only true love? Or will Chelsea learn first-hand that it is rare to save a man from the trenches of the streets?

This book was so good, I could not put it down. It grabbed my attention from chapter one and I was up all night reading it. It had my emotions all over the place. I was up, down, crying and laughing. I wiped plenty of tears while reading this book. I literally could not put this book down until I found out how it ended. I fell in love with Chelsea, Zaiden and Wallace from the start. At some points I had to put my kindle reader down and take a breath with all the changes Zaiden put Chelsea through. But the suspense had me so caught up that I had to immediately start back reading to see what the outcome would be. I was so impressed at how strong Chelsea was for her family and my heart went out to Zaiden and his struggles he faced. As always I loved reading the parts that mentioned area's of Little Rock, Arkansas that I am familiar with. I really enjoyed this book and plan to read it again and again. This book will go down as one of my favorites and I will definitely be purchasing the paperback when it is available to add to my bookshelf collection.Product details

I loved everything about this book! From beginning to end I was captivated..I love Zaiden of course, I was soo sad when he died and I'm glad Ryan killed himself. Lol but overall great read and I cannot wait to read more from you! Keep up the good work.
I'm couldn't get into this storyline. The lead heroine was an horrible character and very weak. This writers' style isn't for me.....
I loved it. I'm happy that they got their happy ending. I knew Ryan did something to zaiden. Keep up the great work
Such a great read sad happy everything I really didn't want that to happen to zaddian but hey he was a good guy I was hoping for the best and Ryan went out like a punk omg buy so good
Wow this standalone was so awesome omg is highly recommended it.I got mad shed some tears this book takes you on a emotional Rollercoaster I actually found my self crying a couple of times its hard having a loved one on drugs man Oh man i.💜 this book
I really enjoyed this book. Chelsea made me mad when she kept running behind Zaiden but I understand she was a rider for her husband for better or worse. I loved Wallace he was so caring, he put Chelsea and Zaiden's feelings before his. I'm glad they came together as one. Ryan was a straight punk I'm glad he's dead. Great Job Veronica!!!
I loved this book sooooooo much!! I cried so many times. I had to stop reading & get myself together! Even though Zaiden was battling some demons, you could tell he was a wonderful man. It hurt to read the tribulations Chelsea & Zaiden went through & them still not making it. I’m glad Chelsea had Wallace to lean on. But I can’t stop thinking if it wasn’t for Ryan. Zaiden would still be with his wife & kids. This is a must read! I will be re reading this over & over. The author did her thing with this story! This is easily one of my favs!
